Flanders, Post World War I. A traumatized ex-soldier and his obedient son go hunting every day in order to survive and take care of the mortally ill mother. Daily pushed to their limits until there’s a point of no return.
Besides working as a post producer in the industry for many years now, Steffen Geypens returned to directing with the no-budget short ‘Hold Back’ (2015). ‘Silent Campine’ was made with the same team and energy, showing again a genuine style that explores the lack of human communication. He’s currently developing several feature projects, including a Belgian spaghetti western set on the eve of WWII and a psychological thriller with a Twin Peaks twist.
